10 MMA Fighters You Want To See Knocked Out In 2020

5. Khabib Nurmagomedov

Not every fighter on this list is a universally despised figure.

In the case of Khabib Nurmagomedov, it's actually quite the contrary. The majority of MMA fans around the world have celebrated 'The Eagle's honest and dignified approach to his current role as one of the top stars in the UFC.

Be it his respectful courtesy towards his opponents (if they aren't named Conor McGregor, that is) or his charitable excursions to Nigeria to repair water wells, there's not much to hate about the undefeated UFC Lightweight champion...

... except, possibly the latter part of that statement.

Thanks to his unquestionable supremacy, we may not see another Lightweight champion crowned for quite some time. So, if the Dagestan native were to shockingly be knocked out in 2020 - by possibly Tony Ferguson or another suitor - it would probably be better for the competitive weight-class as a whole and give us the intriguing sight of Nurmagomedov on the rebound for the first time, too.

The odds aren't great on this one actually becoming a reality. But, there's no doubting that if the king of 'smashing' was somehow sparked out in 2020, it would make for another compelling twist in an already riveting Lightweight division narrative.
