10 Modern Wrestlers Who Embody The Spirit Of Classic Superstars

4. Brock Lesnar (As Managed By Paul Heyman)

Lesnar has continued the classic tradition of Silent Monster With Loudmouth Manager that permeated the '80s. It's quite clear that Lesnar is terrified of the mic, but you don't let someone with that physique and in-ring ability slip through the cracks just because they have a severe fear of public speaking.

Enter Paul Heyman, who is to Lesnar what Jimmy Hart was to guys like Earthquake and Dino Bravo. He's the carnival barker for the freak show. He's the instigator and the color commentator. Brock is the guy who enjoys backing up all the trash talk that his handler does during the week.

In spirit, Lesnar is basically the Andre the Giant of his generation. He's huge, incredibly imposing, and for a long time was basically the Big Top attraction the WWE hoped The Big Show and The Great Khali would be. That makes Paul Heyman the Bobby Heenan of this equation, which actually makes a lot of sense.

But his size, dominance, and athleticism in the ring - not to mention the vicious streaks he's shown over the years - actually makes him the modern day equivalent of Vader or Sycho Sid.
