5. Edge's Royal Rumble Return (WWE Royal Rumble, 26 January 2020)

The in-ring return of Daniel Bryan in 2018 provided hope to both Edge and Paige, who'd suffered somewhat similar injuries that rendered them incapable of performing ever again.

In Edge's case, it pushed him forward. He could still go. He was feeling a lot better than he did when he retired in April 2011. Falling off a bike, for example, was believed to result in paralysis for the Hall of Famer, except it wasn't; he got straight back to his feet when the crash alongside Sheamus occurred.

So, his triumphant 2020 Royal Rumble return was met with this seismic reaction that arguably no other legend could've received. Rumours had circulated, of course, speculating Edge's return after he got physical with Elias the previous summer, but it hadn't quite settled in.

Could Edge still wrestle the same way? Would he still look like Edge, having previously ditched his long, flowing locks for a shorter style? Perhaps most importantly, was it still safe for him to do so?

A resounding yes is the answer to all three questions.

Entering at the number twenty-one position in the match, the 'Rated-R Superstar' was the 'Rated-R Superstar' of old. Spears for everyone immediately, his old pyro intact, and a cheeky Rated RKO reunion, too; one of the Rumble's most jubilant moments ever.
