This is one that'll fly under the radar a little.

Much has been made about WWE's bid for progress and female representation on cards in Saudi Arabia. Y'know what isn't really mentioned in amongst all that investor-pleasing positive PR? That Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss broke new ground in Abu Dhabi years before Saudi was even an ongoing concern to company coffers.

Banks and Bliss wrestled the first ever women's match there on 7 December 2017. It was a Raw Women's Title bout, and one of several on the tour. Due to cultural reasons, both ladies had to cover up a little more than usual, but that was never going to wipe the smile off Sasha's face.

She's always had this staunch belief in women's wrestling, and loves the thought of proving that it's every bit as viable a headline attraction as anything the guys are doing. Wrestling fans know that now after years of progression, but it was still great to see Banks become an international trailblazer approximately six years ago.
