It's easy to forget now just how uncertain things were for literally everyone on the planet in 2020. The first wave of the pandemic had stopped daily life in its tracks, and WWE's only option was to retreat to the Performance Center then erect a flashy "ThunderDome" virtual setup and take up residency in arenas.

On camera, several acts came into their own, but none more so than Sasha Banks and Bayley. Together, they effectively kept programming going (especially SmackDown) with their promo antics and excellent matches. Banks played a huge part in that.

Speaking personally, this writer is infinitely grateful for that entertainment during an otherwise-bleak and scary time. Watching Sasha and her 'Boss N' Hug Connection' mate tear it up on WWE TV became a weekly highlight. There's no doubting that Banks was a company MVP around this time period.

Their reunion as heels, domination and eventual breakup was special to see play out.
