It may not be an imminent partnership. Despite the AEW Championship stipulation in Chris Jericho and Hiroshi Tanahashi's match at Wrestle Kingdom 14, reports have come out that there is still some bad blood between the two promotions. Nevertheless, All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling will not be able to deny the benefits that come with an amicable relationship for too long.

Despite what Seth Rollins will have you think, WWE is not the place to find the best wrestling in the world. Should AEW and NJPW form a working relationship, the two promotions will have the capabilities of putting together a card that WWE would not be able to match, when it comes to in-ring talent. Given the overall quality of Wrestle Kingdom 14, one could argue that NJPW's biggest pay-per-view of the year was a better show than anything WWE has put together in 2019.

These two promotions could put on a show that exceeds the quality of the G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden, an event that took place during WrestleMania 35 weekend. Think of the dream matches that could come to pass if these promotions come to terms on a working relationship: The Elite vs. The Bullet Club, Will Ospreay vs. Fénix, Omega vs. Ibushi, Ishii vs. Hager, Okada vs. Luchasaurus (don't act like you wouldn't want to see The Rainmaker and the giant dinosaur duke it out).

Speaking of matches we're going to get when these two promotions come to a compromise...
