10 Moments WWE Don't Want You To Find On The Network
3. DX Racially Abuses Mark Henry...No, Not That One
Where to find it: Sunday Night Heat, January 3rd 1999
No, not that racist Triple H moment. The other one. No, the other one. This one.
Dear oh dear.
Back to the height of the Attitude Era and just about every wrestler being prone to tastelessness as if it was a pre-requisite for getting over. Or in the case of the DX leader, just being a bit of a b*stard. He's hugely over already, as evidenced by the crowd-pleasing opening spiel and the fantastic reaction he's given upon arrival alongside X-Pac for this rare B-show match.
Months removed from the DX/Nation feud (or the existence of the Nation of Domination in general), Mark Henry hit another snag in his bizarre and occasionally brilliant WWE career at this point. This was a showcase for Hunter, with even the first few seconds more about showing how g*ddamn cool and funny he was, ducking and diving and mimicking a f*cking gorilla and doing monkey gestures as if that sort of appalling behaviour was just good banter.
More than most on this list, this one still being there is a genuine surprise - so few will have ever even seen it to remember it that an insidious edit would have erased it forever. As is, it's just another for the COO's troubling resumé.
