10 More Early-'90s WWE Superstars You Totally Don't Remember

9. Gary Sabaugh

Gary Sabaugh, better known by the name Italian Stallion, fought a handful of matches under the WWE banner in 1994 as part of a nomadic career that saw him perform for just about every wrestling promotion in the United States.

He didn't exactly become a household name (he may have stood a better chance if he used his porn-style moniker instead), but he did rub shoulders, briefly, with the likes of Shawn Michaels and Owen Hart - which is more than many of his contemporaries can claim.

Sabaugh also supposedly helped Matt and Jeff Hardy get their start in mainstream wrestling in the mid-'90s, although in subsequent interviews the pair haven't exactly been glowing with praise for their former colleague, who they claim took too large a cut of their earnings in payment for his services.

Before long, the brothers became big enough that they no longer needed a middle-man to set up their WWE appearances, the ungrateful swines.
