10 More Early-'90s WWE Superstars You Totally Don't Remember

7. Tony Ricca

You can be forgiven for not remembering Tony Ricca, given that he only wrestled one WWE match, a clothesline-aided defeat to Hacksaw Jim Duggan on a July 1991 episode of Superstars of Wrestling, the less exciting forerunner to Monday Night Raw.

His tenure with the company being so short, however, appears to have had less to do with any lack of talent than it was some desperately rotten luck. The then 23-year-old was reportedly offered a full-time role by Gorilla Monsoon after impressing with his "Pharaoh" gimmick, but injury forced him into an early retirement.

Since hanging up his boots, Ricca has found employment as both a promoter, and - according to Wikipedia - a musician and bodybuilding trainer too, with an eBook about fitness apparently on the way. (Has someone been editing their own Wikipedia page?)

Whatever the case, it's a crying shame that his Pharaoh character didn't make it to air. If there's one thing the WWE product has lacked in the last 25 years it's stereotypes.
