10 MORE Secret WWE Pasts Of AEW Wrestlers
5. John Silver & Alex Reynolds
There are worse buildings to get squashed in than Madison Square Garden, but John Silver was presumably "hungee" for more having stared at that famous roof for Heavy Machinery in 2019.
To be fair to the future Dark Order favourite, he did an amazing job of getting the sh*t kicked out of him - Otis and Tucker's finishing sequence in particular looked awesome thanks to the convincing battering Silver took.
What's perhaps even more interesting about the match the historic location is when it took place - the September 19th 2019 edition of SmackDown took place weeks before the first episode of AEW Dynamite, and barely a month before Silva and Reynolds took their first pasting for the company they've since made their names in.
Very quietly one of the first reminders that Vince McMahon at long last had some competition, AEW making rather excellent use of two "extras" just weeks removed from a televised WWE appearance stood in stark contrast to the fate of many local talents in the era of the mind-numbing monopoly.
