10 MORE Shocking WWE Plans You Won’t Believe

2. Reality Becomes Fantasy

If a recent WWE-mandated 'Unleash Your Warrior' Cancer Awareness campaign taught us anything, it unsurprisingly wasn't about the dreaded disease. Disconcertingly, it was that the Ultimate Warrior could be a total pr*ck.

Whitewashed by the organisation in their efforts to posthumously anoint him (and his widow Dana) as company ambassadors, Warrior's scathing words on homosexuality, Hurricane Katrina, Bobby Heenan and a host of other topics were placed atop the agenda by discerning fans after WWE lionised him for this year's Susan G Koeman collaboration.

Yet in an industry that stresses the need to be 'yourself with the volume turned up', it wasn't an avenue Warrior cared to explore during his tumultuous 1992 return. His SummerSlam 1992 clash with Randy Savage was constructed to conclude with an Ultimate heel turn. Warrior would shockingly side with the trouble-stirring Ric Flair and Mr Perfect in order to scoop a WWE Title he'd eventually lose to Bret Hart. He balked at the entire thing last minute, resulting in the match going to a non-finish and Flair himself transitioning the strap.
