10 MORE Wrestlers Who Hated Working Together
2. Paul Roma & The Four Horsemen
Poor old Paul Roma was always a perfectly serviceable wrestler, but he'll only ever be remembered for his failed run as a member of the Four Horsemen.
Roma's name is now a punchline. He's the example everyone points to when it comes to flopped stable runs, as he always stuck out like a sore thumb when positioned alongside the likes of Arn Anderson and Ric Flair, whose talent outstripped Paul's tenfold. The career midcarder didn't fit in, didn't catch on, and flopped through the fans' inability to take him seriously as a babyface, culminating in Roma turning heel to team with Paul Orndorff instead.
Paul's problems extended backstage, where he was extremely unpopular, even with Anderson and Flair. Bizarrely, Roma reportedly thought he was the Horsemen's true star, claiming that Ric was over the hill, and Arn "looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy." The legendary duo would later clap back by claiming that Roma was the worst Horseman of all time - an argument with plenty of merit.
The feud is now entirely one-sided: Roma's bitterness lives on, and he'll gladly shoot on his former partners when prompted, but you won't hear a peep from Flair or Anderson.
