10 More Wrestlers You'll NEVER Believe Shared The Same Ring

1. Chyna & Jushin Liger

At a first glance, the blonde hair maybe doesn't make her quite as recognisable as she may have otherwise been, but that image there is of Chyna wrestling the iconic Jushin 'Thunder' Liger.

Having defeated Ivory to become WWF Women's Champion at WrestleMania X-Seven, Chyna would depart Vince McMahon's sports entertainment juggernaut just a month later after dropping that belt to Lita at May's Judgment Day PPV.

It would be 15 months later that Joanie Laurer would resurface in the wrestling business, and that would be for New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Competing under her real name, Joanie's NJPW debut saw her team with Justin McCully and Shane to take on Jushin Liger, Masahito Kakihara and Yuji Nagata.

Seeing Laurer amongst those names certainly grabs the attention, and Liger would actually wrestle against Chyna in several such similar tag bouts. Mind you, Liger wasn't the only member of wrestling royalty who Joanie would face during her three months in New Japan in 2002 - she would also tangle with legends such as Hiroshi Tanahashi, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Masahiro Chono, Gedo, The Great Kabuki and The Great f**kin' Muta!
