This may sound like a strange one. Ryder has been part of the WWE furniture for so long, you almost presume he’ll always be there. Sure he won’t be doing much, aside from getting jobbed out here and there, but he’ll be there nonetheless. Or will he?
Cody himself had mentioned Ryder when AEW was still taking its first steps, citing his massive popularity back in the day before Kane murdered him to get to John Cena.
Despite his jobber status, the Long Island Iced Z is still a pretty charismatic figure if given the spotlight. And considering the fact that he had basically created his own popularity before, what’s to stop him from doing so again?
It’s unclear what his contract situation is with WWE, but if and when it does expire, you can expect some Elite folk to make an offer or two.
