It says a lot about this franchise that the following instalment isn't even the weirdest part of the series, but it is, without a doubt, the worst.

WWE has taken an interest in many properties, ranging from comedy to drama and even horror. Still, no one would have believed you if you'd told them a wrestling company took over the Leprechaun franchise.

This film series tells of a nasty, yet fair, Leprechaun who takes revenge on those who are proven to be greedy and has a tonne of fun along the way. The sounds of that might make this movie seem enjoyable, but it isn't, as instead of going in for a fun and goofy horror-comedy, WWE studios attempted to make this an extreme and gritty horror.

Leprechaun: Origins depicts the events after a group of tourists enter a strange town haunted by the titular monster, and are subject to being a sacrifice toward the mythological creature.

The movie is entirely nonsensical, and barely even a star vehicle for the very enjoyable Dylan Postl - better known to fans as Hornswoggle. The popular WWE performer isn't even visible in the film, since he is covered behind a tonne of terrible prosthetics. This decision makes the movie more of a bog-standard creature feature than a Leprechaun instalment.
