4. Roman Reigns Is Not A Big Man
The 'Big Dog'... he isn’t very big, is he?
Let’s be clear – he’s larger than most normal people. No one’s suggesting that Joe Anoaʻi is a tiddler, or that there’s anything at all wrong with wrestlers of average height or less.
However, this is a man who was marketed as a tank from day one: the Juggernaut, the powerhouse of The Shield. Yet he’s, what, six two? He’s not a huge slab of muscle, either. From what can be seen underneath his succession of flak jackets and vests, although he has good definition, he’s actually pretty lean.
Comparisons make the whole thing weirder. He’s not much bigger than Ambrose or Rollins, and The Rock (who was never once billed as a powerhouse during his wrestling career) is clearly taller and larger, practically dwarfing him at the 2015 Royal Rumble.
When The Shield debuted, Reigns was the rookie that they were developing on the job. It’s understandable that back then, they needed to give him something… but the 'juggernaut' nonsense simply didn't make sense once he was going up against the likes of Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman.
