What could be building right now is a Triple H versus Shane McMahon narrative. Stephanie is currently working alongside Shane on Raw, but Hunter is conspicuous by his absence. Maybe it is building to him coming back and attacking Shane? The story would then play out that they are wrestling for control of the company.

It makes sense, and it would work quite interestingly given rumoured legitimate heat between the pair. Those sort of narratives are always the best - when fans feel like there's something real there. It is an easy story; Hunter stole control of WWE from Shane through manipulation. Now they can finally settle it in the ring.

If this is the direction WWE are taking, expect it to be at SummerSlam, with Hunter winning an exciting hardcore match.
