10 Most Anticipated Matches In WrestleMania History

7. Shawn Michaels Vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - WrestleMania XIV

There are a number of things that made this one of the most anticipated matches in WWE history, never mind WrestleMania history. Austin's popularity. Michaels' future in the WWE. The WWF Championship. Mike Tyson. Austin was in the midst of his biggest push to date in the then WWF while Michaels was on the way down. Tyson was even drafted in to get involved in it all, such was the magnitude of this match. Who would Iron Mike side with? He watched on at the Royal Rumble as Michaels won the WWF Championship and Austin came out on top in the 30 man over the top rope spectacular. It looked as if a rivalry between the Texas Rattlesnake and the former heavyweight champion of the world was brewing. Stone Cold gave Tyson the finger and took offence when Vince McMahon referred to the boxer as "the baddest man on the planet." However, the match would culminate with Tyson, who was cast as the ring enforcer for the match, sliding in to make a quick three count in Austin's favour. He then knocked out a protesting Michaels.
