WWE’s current tag wrestling scene isn’t a patch on what it used to be, and nothing exemplifies this better than the long-term rivalry between Edge & Christian, The Hardy Boyz, and The Dudley Boyz. The harked back to the good old days of the Hart Foundation, Rockers, and Demolition, and the matches were out of this world.

The three teams engaged in a series of table and ladder matches with each other through 1999 and 2000, leading to a fantastic Triangle Ladder match at WrestleMania 2000. Edge & Christian won, but the rivalry was far from over, and the teams were often inseparable at the top of the tag title ranks.

The battles continued, with E&C once again emerging victorious in the first ever Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match at SummerSlam ‘00. Never before had a WWE tag team match been so risky, dangerous, and utterly breathtaking, but this was only the appetiser.

E&C, the Hardyz, and Dudleyz were among the company’s most popular acts by WrestleMania X-Seven. They were getting pops to rival the main eventers, and this, the second TLC match, provoked almost was much excitement as the Steve Austin vs. Rock main event. It turned out to be one of the best spotfests of all-time, and a career highlight for all six men.
