10 Most Awkward WWE Moments Of 2020 (So Far)
6. Jeff Emulates The Undertaker (Literally)
Following the last episode of the Last Ride documentary and The Undertaker’s earth shaking announcement that he is retiring for real (come on now, surely not), WWE did the logical thing and dedicated their next show solely to the Deadman.
Of course it couldn’t be anything too grand because of the situation but there were some really nice touches nonetheless. The big story going down on this episode of SmackDown involved Jeff Hardy squaring up to King Corbin, after the latter had insulted The Undertaker.
It was here Jeff mentioned The Undertaker was his mentor, which was news to everyone, and challenged Corbin to a fight in the main event. Of course Hardy won and in the end all the faces got in the ring and beat up Corbin, because of course they did.
The closing shot however, was a really weird one. Jeff dropped down on one knee, raised one hand, and basically did The Undertaker's signature pose in homage to the Phenom. Jeff Hardy is a legend, he was part of some of the most iconic moments in wrestling history, but perhaps he should really stick to his own poses and gestures.
