10 Most Badass Wrestling Threats EVER

8. Eddie Kingston Tells CM Punk To Get The F*ck Out Of AEW

Despite mastering the form, sometimes AEW is guilty of telling long-term stories for the sake of it - because that's what fans have missed all century long, because that's how you get the audience to care about matches, because, and this is the grim pragmatic bit, producing three hours of TV every week is reliant upon it.

Some stories don't need to go long. Sometimes a petty grudge can fuel resentment that lingers for years but can erupt in an instant.

That's how the blistering anti-saga between CM Punk and Eddie Kingston began in the autumn of 2021. Kingston intruded on Punk's interview time. This reminded Punk of Eddie's apparent lack of professionalism, and Punk telling Kingston reminded Kingston that Punk was a sanctimonious a*sehole with the balls to anoint himself locker room leader.

Their Rampage standoff was a masterclass of organic, graduating tension. Eddie started to really lose it when Punk said that even Homicide thought Kingston was too much of a sh*t-disturber to make something of himself, but watch his eyes throughout. Kingston, the lost great wrestling genius of the 21st century, was simmering from the first second.

When they finally agreed to fight at Full Gear, Kingston calmly marched over to Punk. "I don't care about winning or losing at Full Gear. Do me a favour. Quit again and leave for seven years ago and don't come-"

At this moment, Punk unloaded with a headbutt and an elite-tier pull-apart broke out. Kingston's better threat was a non-verbal look; with refs swarming over him, he unhinged his jaw with such furious anger that he looked like a snake ready to eat that f*cker whole.
