10 Most Believable Performers In WWE Today
6. Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is almost intolerably smug.
A master of pithy facial expressions, Reigns isn't likeable. At all. Addressing the fierce fan criticism directed towards him ahead of his match with Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31, Reigns shrugged it off, stating that "for them to critique or ever say anything about any performer is asinine and just blows my mind," as if he's never formed an opinion on anything himself. Reigns didn't care; he was just a guy getting rich.
His heel act was underscored when he interrupted Rusev and Lana's summer wedding in 2016. "Thank you," he said, raising the glass of champagne he poured himself. "I've never had the opportunity to see a marriage between a Bulgarian Sasquatch and a mail order bride," he followed up.
All of this would work a treat - if only the man wasn't meant to be a babyface. That segment wasn't entirely removed from something The Rock might have carried in the Attitude Era, in which such casual misogyny was commonplace. But Reigns has none of his easygoing charm. He's a bully.
This writer is convinced that Roman Reigns is the best heel on the WWE roster - and that he hasn't yet turned serves as an indictment of WWE in 2017. All too often, Vince McMahon gives fans the opposite of what they want.
