9. Macho Man Randy Savage

Few superstars could match the Ultimate Warrior's intensity. One man that could - and did as one of Warrior's most memorable opponents - was Randy "Macho Man" Savage. Not only could Savage match Warrior's incredible intensity, he was just as believable a professional wrestler as the rope-shaking, face-painted maniac from Parts Unknown.

The two wrestlers were really quite similar in their approach to their characters, in that both men took their personas with deadly seriousness. Their colorful outfits, unique voices, the often out-of-this-world promos, and their wild eyed facial expressions all contributed to making Savage and Warrior feel incredibly real, if not a little bit crazy. One major difference that separated these two superstars was the quality of their in-ring performances.

While Warrior was often carried through his matches by the likes of Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect, or Savage himself, Randy was capable of putting on a ***** classic every time he laced up his boots. The original Mr. WrestleMania stole the show at WrestleManias III, IV, V, VII, and VIII - all with different opponents.

His remarkable in-ring ability went a long in way in establishing the Macho Man's authenticity as an all-time great.
