10 Most Bizarre Short-Term Returns In WWE History
9. Honky Tonk Man Feels Kane's Wrath
The 2001 Royal Rumble is widely regarded as one of the best of all-time, blending memorable spots with a high-intensity finish (and a star-studded lineup to boot).
One such memorable set piece was the surprise cameo of longest ever reigning Intercontinental Champion, the Honky Tonk Man. The Tennessee native strode out to confront Kane, singing along to his theme music and jauntily strumming his signature acoustic guitar.
Of course, the instrument ended up shattered over Honky Tonk Man's skull, and Kane went on to enjoy one of the most memorable Rumble runs in history (despite finishing as runner-up to Steve Austin).
