10 Most Bizarre Short-Term Returns In WWE History
8. Boogeyman's Surprise Rumble Return
Staying on the topic of Royal Rumble returns for just a second, the 2015 incarnation will go down in history as an infamous match - primarily because of Roman Reigns' widely unpopular victory (and the severe lack of Daniel Bryan).
An overshadowed moment, however, is the return of The Boogeyman. Although he was a superstar built entirely on the premise of his (very finite) gimmick, Marty Wright achieved great popularity on SmackDown in the mid-2000s and even feuded with such names as Booker T and JBL.
Boogeyman's Rumble return was a legitimate surprise, but he had an all-too-brief stint in the match. He entered at number seven, and lasted just 47 seconds before being thrown out by fellow weirdo Bray Wyatt.
We've yet to see Wright since, but he apparently signed a WWE legends contract in late 2015 - so we could well see that telltale red smoke billow from the entrance ramp again in the future.
