10 Most Bizarre Short-Term Returns In WWE History
6. Mr. Hughes: Bodyguard For Hire
Curtis 'Mr.' Hughes was one of the most well-travelled enforcers of the early 90s, appearing in the WWF, WCW and ECW as a heavy for wrestlers including Lex Luger, Cactus Jack and Shane Douglas.
Although a relic of this era on the surface, Hughes actually reemerged in the Attitude Era, acting as a bodyguard for two of the most recognisable figures in WWE today.
Firstly, in 1997, he joined forces with Hunter Hearst Helmsley - before being replaced by Chyna - and even cropped up in 1999 alongside recent debutant Chris Jericho. Sadly, Y2J turned on his ally during a tag match, and Hughes was released later the same year.
