A truly unique character, Doink The Clown is equally loved and loathed by long time fans. As a heel, the gimmick was downright spooky and had potential. Upon turning babyface, Doink was reduced to mid card fodder and faded away. At the 1993 Survivor Series, the persona was used in an interesting, albeit totally random, way.

Bam Bam Bigelow, The Headshrinkers and Bastion Booger were on one side. On the other, Men On A Mission and The Bushwhackers were their opponents. Going on right before the show's scheduled main event, this standard Survivor Series elimination match was anything but traditional in the end.

The babyface were adorned in Doink wigs and grease paint. Amongst the spots included were heels slipping on banana peels, Bastion Booger indulging in some Thanksgiving turkey and one member of The Bushwhackers riding around the ring on a push scooter.

More than ever, the WWF seemed to be ramping up cartoon nonsense and aiming themselves at young children. Still, there was something nightmarish about seeing the colossal Mabel made-up like a clown.

To this day, such a match cannot be explained without giving it the 'oddball' tag.
