10 Most Bizarre WWF Hasbro Figures

6. Nailz

Bret Hart Hasbro
WWE/Hasbro

Everything about this figure is absolutely, as those insufferable whippersnappers surrounding me in the office say, on point. The face is suitably menacing, maybe even a little deranged, the action is absolutely perfect for, er, 'display' (minus the 'dis'), and the details on the outfit are spot on. Even the prisoner number is accurate! This might not sound like a big deal, but it is when we consider Hasbro failed to even get Yokozuna's tights the correct colour. Nailz little signature on the card is a neat touch as well, clearly scratched aggressively with a, well, a nail.

So what's bizarre about this figure? Nothing much, except the fact that it actually exists. Kevin Wacholz time in WWF was limited, to say the least; the ex-con was designed ostensibly as foil for the Big Bossman, and after that feud finished, that was more or less it for Nailz.

Perhaps it wouldn't have been had the jailbird not marched into Vince McMahon's office and choked him out over a pay dispute. It's seldom a wise career move in the company. But that's what he did, which makes the figure being released a whole year after his acrimonious dismissal all the more peculiar.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
