10 Most Boring Wrestlers Of 2020

3. Jake Hager (AEW)

AEW apologists might point to Jake Hager's position in Chris Jericho's Inner Circle and claim it validates his worth. Maybe/maybe not, but even the most staunch supporter of All Elite Wrestling couldn't say (with a straight face) that Hager's current run is any better than his time as WWE's Jack Swagger.

If everyone's honest, they'll admit that it's pretty damn comparable.

Despite being impressive physically, and possessing some MMA credentials to back up his hard-nosed AEW bodyguard gimmick, Hager is woefully mundane whenever he's on screen. He's just one in a long line of AEW wrestlers whose history and importance to the cause has never fully been made clear.

For example, what separates Hager from obvious guardian Wardlow? Both are largely mute and both look out for one specific worker. The only clear difference is that Hager used to be in WWE - AEW has acknowledged this before, albeit cryptically.

Big whoop. The output doesn't match the hype.
