10 Most Boring WWE Main Events Of All Time

6. In Your House: D-Generation X - Shawn Michaels V Ken Shamrock

This travesty of a PPV came just four weeks after the Montréal Screwjob, so it's fair to assume that the organisation was not necessarily running all that smoothly. Even so, this main event should have been at least halfway entertaining. Unfortunately, HBK's Herculean ego got in the way of letting Ken Shamrock look strong, and the match is a snoozefest from start to end.

After an excruciatingly long wait for the match to start, things go okay for a bit. The problem, though, is that HBK’s ego takes over relatively early and he gets mad that he is dealing with someone who quite frankly, doesn’t really know what they are doing. Michaels basically stops trying to even hide that he is calling the spots, and spends half the match bailing on the ring. It is completely uneven, unconvincing, and once it starts getting past the quarter hour mark without an end in sight, it is noticeable just what a tough sit the match is.

All the ego and inexperience could be forgiven if there was a decent payoff, but there isn’t. The match finishes with an interruption that is as predictable as it is lame, and the whole thing just dissolves the entire woeful card in an appropriate, albeit astonishingly dry manner.
