Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy formed an enhancement-level tandem on NXT in 2014, but it was during 2015 that they truly broke out - and by "broke out," I mean that they won the NXT Tag Team Titles out of nowhere and proceeded to spent months devaluing the belts, being overshadowed by their manager, and frustrating fans. After unseating the popular Lucha Dragons, the bland Blake and Murphy started feuding with the beloved tandem of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady. Many hoped that the new champions would be transitional titleholders, but Amore and Cassady didn't get the huge victory. Instead, Blake and Murphy spent seven months - time during which they didn't develop personalities or unique in-ring styles - as champions before losing the belts to The Vaudevillains.
