Over the past 17 years, the blaring of "Well, it's The Big Show!" has hit WWE public address systems thousands of times, and in 2015, more than ever before, the music indicated that it was time for a bathroom break. While, from an in-ring perspective, The Big Show's work has actually peaked over the past few years - he's leaps and bounds ahead of where he was in 2001-2003 - by this point, fans have seen everything that the giant has to offer over and over again. Show took several brief leaves of absence in 2015, but none of them freshened him up. After losing to Roman Reigns in a highly-acclaimed match at Extreme Rules, Show wouldn't be seen again until June. When he returned, intent on capturing Intercontinental gold, chants of "Please retire!" began to dog the superstar. They continued in later losses to Brock Lesnar and Reigns. Wrestling is a business of diminishing returns, and The Big Show's entertainment value may have finally worn off.
