Longtime fans of WWE know that when it comes to boring, Triple H is a pioneer. During the early days of the brand split, he perfected the 20-minute-long show-opening promo, and his matches at the time - hampered by a quad injury and 30 unnecessary pounds of extra muscle - were so plodding that they forced the company to adopt a slower, more "methodical" overall main event style to compensate. More than a decade later, Triple H is all but retired (he only had a single match this year), but still remains a drain on television time. While his appearances aren't as frequent as they used to be, as one half of The Authority, HHH is still portrayed as the boss on screen, and so every so often he'll step out on Raw to overshadow all of the active talent. Of course, he'll do that by cutting excessively long promos. As HHH appears to be headed for a feud with Roman Reigns - his first program since last WrestleMania - expect the frequency of these promos to increase in the new year.
