Few times before 2019 had the annual Money in the Bank showcase produced a genuine match of the year contender, but in this year's men's match, no one could deny its credentials.

Each of the competitors expertly portrayed the sheer desperation and danger synonymous with MITB, which from a storytelling perspective was perhaps the greatest contest of its kind. The shocking finish, which saw Brock Lesnar enter the match late to claim the briefcase untouched, added to the unfolding drama.

Among the ruin two men produced star-making performances whilst attempting the most audacious spot of the night. Not to worry though; Finn Bálor and Andrade are consummate world-class performers, and they pulled it off to awe-inspiring heights.

El Idolo and The Demon King were tussling atop a ladder, when Andrade sought to wipe Finn out, delivering an astonishing sunset flip powerbomb onto another ladder bridged between the ring ropes. On the way down, Andrade’s lower body collided awfully with the bridged ladder, whilst upon impact Bálor’s body took a sickening bounce. The landing made it all the more incredible that no serious injuries were sustained.

It was a moment which stood out amid the numerous breathtaking spots from this match, sensationally combining raw athleticism with outstanding courage.
