10 Most Charismatic WWE Superstars Right Now
1. Kevin Owens
Yes, I know I praised Miz and Jericho earlier for being 'pure heels' unconcerned with garnering support, but Kevin Owens' behaviour truly fits his character. He's a snarky, cynical, sarcastic, bitter !*$% - and it just so happens that such personas are often those most championed by wrestling fans. Just look at Steve Austin and CM Punk, for example.
However, KO differs by virtue of being an entirely natural heel. He could go his entire career a bad guy and few would complain, given the fact that it is such an intrinsic part of his gimmick. Owens isn't concerned with wowing the crowd or paying respect - he's out for his family, his own sense of fighting pride, and sometimes just to be a dick to people.
Owens isn't the smoothest talker in WWE at the moment, but he's certainly the most believable and captivating. He's also the master of little ad libs, from taunting fans in the crowd to messing with the commentators. Each of his matches is truly unique as a result of such antics.
There's also the darker side of Owens, as seen in his NXT and main roster feuds with Sami Zayn, where he becomes an unstoppable rage-monster. Again, he's entirely believable in such a role, and thrives under it.
It seems only a matter of time until KO is granted a reign as WWE (or Universal) Champion, and when that time comes, it'll be a reward richly deserved.
