10 Most Confusing WWE Castoffs That TNA Signed

4. Test

Test was only over in WWE for a brief amount of time. That was during his storyline with Stephanie McMahon. That was likely due to it being a fun angle more than anything, because after that, Test never caught on, but the company sure as hell tried.

His run with Stacy Keibler and The Un-Americans and T & A failed to endear him to fans and he was let go. He later re-emerged with an even bigger push (and an ungodly ridiculous, impossible to legally obtain physique) in ECW in 2006. After a Wellness Policy violation, he left the company and TNA scooped him up a few months later.

Instead of treating him like a mid-card guy like he was in WWE, and perhaps letting him work his way up the card, he was immediately promoted as a BIG DEAL in TNA and was teamed up with Sting and Abyss in his first and only match.

In one of TNA’s most self-aware moments, they realized they couldn’t keep Test on the roster as his body was a gigantic red flag to the government that the wrestling industry wasn’t regulated in the least. They let him go, and he never returned as sadly he passed away a couple years later.

Still, it's a wonder that they ever signed him in the first place due to so many big problems staring them in the face.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
