Showing his typical lack of sensitivity, Randy Orton took to social media in 2016 to lambast a teacher who trod on the American flag in protest of police treatment of African-Americans.

History professor Lee Francis was suspended by Fayetteville, NC's Massey Hill Classic High for his dissent, but The Viper didn't think it was enough. "Suspend?" he Tweeted. "They should fire his ass!"

Totally missing the point, he continued:

"Americans are dying. Pigment of skin doesn't matter. American people matter."

The irony of Orton's strident defence of the stars and stripes' values was seemingly lost on him. His tone deafness was heightened by his timing; his vitriol arrived just hours after footage was released of the fatal shooting of African-American Terence Crutcher by a police officer in Tulsa, OK.

Unsurprisingly, the backlash soon begun. One choice reply wryly noted, "You just don't get it Randy. That's like going to the doctor for a broken bone and him saying, "well, all bones matter!".

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
