8. Bram

For:

Actions do not necessarily define the man. Men may learn from said actions and use the guilt/experience to become better men. Some who specifically demonised Bram also, on the same Twitter profile, recently celebrated the birthday of Steve Austin with a fawning thread, which underscores that Bram, as the far inferior wrestler, is held to a double standard.

Against:

By knowingly and happily allowing certain promotions to capitalise on the notoriety generated through his grisly history of domestic abuse - something he was not charged for, but circumstantial evidence gathered on the police report all but confirms did happen - Bram's protests ring hollow. He claimed, in a statement released in September, that the episode harmed his chances of making a living. On the contrary: the episode was ghoulishly exploited by ICW, affording Bram a spot his ability level probably doesn't warrant by the sky-high standards of 2017.

Author Verdict:

He's done Piece Of Sh*t things which, don't necessarily condemn him as a Piece Of Sh*t forevermore. Still, he more or less refused to take seriously or learn from them with his grisly sense of entrepreneurship. "Unfortunately, fans who think they are the most informed seem to have trouble deciphering Tom Latimer from Bram," ran his statement. He is the one conflating person and performer, not the fans - and until he moves on, he can't expect the wrestling world to follow suit.
