10 Most Cringeworthy WWE Backstage Segments

6. Hot(el) Lesbian Action

Wrestling titillation done badly (as if it's ever really done well), the seedy meeting between Dawn Marie and Torrie Wilson from B-show Armageddon 2002 weren't intended to look as cheap and nasty as they eventually did - particularly considering the likelihood of the 'big' moment getting paused, replayed and rewatched by younger audience members of the audience in the aftermath.

Forming part of Paul Heyman's grand distraction piece whilst the former ECW doyen booked some of the finest WWE television in years, the Dawn Marie/Al Wilson romance angle was stupid enough to keep Vince McMahon entertained as Heyman invested time in elevating 'SmackDown Six' midcarders Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle, Edge and Rey Mysterio.

The blue brand was thus serving all masters, though the masturb*tors were presumably highest on McMahon's agenda when he scripted Dawn and Torrie to strip down to lingerie and briefly kiss for the good of such a wretched angle. It's neither good pro wrestling nor serviceable Sports Entertainment - even their fight in the late Al's funeral home had a bizarre charm that this completely frigid segment badly lacked.
