10 Most Dangerous WWE Matches Ever

9. Edge & Christian Vs The Hardy Boyz - No Mercy (1999)

1999's No Mercy was built up as a show-stopper, with Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin battling it out for the World Heavyweight title.

But when the pay-per-view came to an end, all anyone could talk about was the Ladder Match between Edge & Christian and The Hardys. Because of the wrestlers' high-flying manoeuvres and creative counters, it's hailed as one of the greatest tag team matches in WWE history.

But the bout is also memorable because it was so frickin' dangerous. Throughout this tag team match, the four daredevils performed somersaults and senton bombs on their opponents while they were on, inside, or under one or more ladders.

Every time these guys launched themselves at each other while they were 10ft in the air, it felt like they're risking their lives. When Jeff Hardy leapt from the top of the ladder onto Edge, who was lying on another ladder outside the ring, fans knew they were watching something truly special (and stupidly dangerous).

Even though this match is one for the ages, it's remarkable how none of the four athletes suffered career-ending injuries.
