10 Most Dangerous WWE Matches Ever

7. Eddie Guerrero Vs JBL - Judgement Day (2004)

Blading is an age old tradition in wrestling where athletes voluntarily cut themselves so they bleed. The practice is often performed on the forehead, so the chances of hitting a major artery is unlikely (but never impossible). It may sound barbaric, but the sight of blood always works the audience into a frenzy.

This technique isn't used in WWE these days, since things can go horribly wrong, as was seen in 2004's Judgement Day main event between Eddie Guerrero and JBL (also: WWE thinks the optics aren't great despite promoting more dangerous practises, like the Money In The Bank match). After JBL whacked Eddie with a steel chair, the Latino star sliced his forehead, as was scripted.

Unfortunately, Eddie cut an artery, causing a geyser of blood to gush all over him. The spillage was so excessive, the pay-per-view had to change its rating to TV-MA.

Because of the severity of this cut, no one would've blamed the ref if he stopped the match then and there. Always the professional, Eddie carried on, despite spurting blood like a faucet.

He had to soldier on for ten minutes, despite being light-headed and almost blinded by the blood in his eyes.
