There were five incarnations of the group known as D-Generation X, but championship gold followed them around from start to finish. The group won 23 championships in total, covering all the possible titles available to win in World Wrestling Entertainment.

It started with Shawn Michaels winning the European Championship from the British Bulldog in 1997, as the group (then consisting of Michaels, Triple H, Chyna and Rick Rude) feuded with the Hart Foundation. Their final championship win saw Michaels and Hunter win tag team gold in 2009.

In between, Michaels won three world titles and Hunter won four world titles, an IC title and two European titles. X-Pac did his bit by claiming European gold on two occasions, whilst Road Dogg won both the Intercontinental and Hardcore titles once. Surprisingly, the Hardcore belt was the only singles belt won by perennially-pushed Billy Gunn during his runs in DX.

The New Age Outlaws also won five tag team championships as part of DX.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
