10 Most Devastating WWE Superstar Injuries Of 2015

2. Daniel Bryan

D-Bry just can't catch a break, can he? Bryan suffered a serious neck injury that kept him off the card for the bulk of 2014, returned in early 2015, won the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania, and then suffered another injury. Since the initial announcement of his injury, there have been conflicting reports. On one hand, Bryan€™s doctors have cleared him to compete. On the other hand, WWE€™s doctors haven€™t given him permission to wrestle. What we€™re left with is a wrestler that very well may be fully healed and ready to wrestle, but is being kept on the shelf for one reason or another. Bryan€™s continued lack of appearances for WWE is posing serious problems. He was, and still is, one of the most popular wrestlers on the roster, elicits enormous reactions from the crowd wherever he goes, sells lots of merchandise, and puts on outstanding matches. By not wrestling, the shows are suffering from a lack of main-event-level wrestlers, ratings are getting lower, and time is running out for Bryan himself. This third point is especially worrisome because Bryan might consider leaving WWE because they€™re not letting him wrestle, even though he knows his body better than anyone else and wants to keep performing. A Bryan departure from WWE would be absolutely crippling, given just how much he has sacrificed to become such a top-tier superstar.
