10 Most Disappointing Wrestling Entrance Stages Ever

7. RAW/SmackDown Generic UK Set

When WWE comes to the UK some things are guaranteed. A raucous crowd, wild dark matches, and most prominently, WWE rolling out its bespoke British stage set.

Famously featuring a London taxi cab and traditional red phone box, the set is flanked by two British flags surrounding the generic television stage. Few could argue that the additional dressing isn't a welcome twist on the tame, homogenised sets of the weekly shows, but the stereotypical additions come across more as pandering than a genuine attempt to pay tribute to a large portion of a rabid fan-base.

The stage often divides opinion with many arguing that it's a fun tradition that has evolved over the years. Others point to the shoe-horned in generalisation of an entire country and culture as insulting.

It must be said that WWE have worked the props into storylines, most famously with Big Show Chokeslamming Roman Reigns through the roof of the taxi cab in April 2015. Even with the odd interaction, the set has become cliche and predictable.

If WWE only pulled it out every now and then, some nostalgia might have a chance to develop. As it stands, with two tours of the UK every year, even some British fans have grown tired of the trope.
