10 Most Disappointing Wrestling Ladder Matches Of All Time

4. Filthy Animals Vs. Boogie Knights - WCW Monday Nitro 2000

Four grown men spend six minutes beating the hell out of each other so that one of them can climb up a ladder to retrieve a ceramic duck. This, ladies and gentlemen, is the height of the Vince Russo era. The highlight of this match is the cow-printed outfit Konnan is rocking. Either that or the commentators, who clearly care even less about this match than the viewers at home. Here's a sample:

"Hate the duck. Hate Disco. Maybe they can kill the duck and Disco and we can all live better."

There were a lot of fun stunts happening in this match (obviously, it's Rey Mysterio), which should make this at least tolerable, but there was no rhyme or reason to anything going on. Half of the time guys were just getting in each other's way, and the other half, everyone was wondering why Konnan can't at least pretend he cares about anything happening in the ring. All in all, this match would have been better if they'd gotten rid of the duck and the ladder. And Disco Inferno. And Konnan. Just schedule a singles match with Mysterio and Alex Wright and you've got yourself a match guaranteed to be at least twice as entertaining as this mess.
