10 Most Disappointing WWE Feuds Of The 2000s

8. Goldberg Vs. Chris Jericho - 2003

Chris Jericho versus Goldberg would have happened on PPV in WCW in 1998 if Chris Jericho had gotten his way, but Goldberg decided he didn't want to work that day since he had decided to go hunting. Y2J worked with Bobby Duncum Jr. on the event and Goldberg flattened him the next night on Nitro to put an end to their would-be dispute. This caused some real-life animosity between the two men, with Jericho believing that success was going to big Bill's head. He was also miffed because he had spent time and energy almost singled-handedly promoting the feud. The had another go in 2003, this time under the watchful eye of Vince McMahon, but again the results were disappointing. The whole feud was half-baked and featured way too much of Jericho outsmarting Goldberg and then running away. When the two finally clashed at Bad Blood, it was just a standard match with Goldberg on the defensive for large parts. He seemed uninterested, which is understandable considering Linda McMahon had recently called him a 'disappointment' during a conference call. Ouch. Goldberg won the match to end the feud after only a few weeks worth of build. The most interesting thing about their programme was the real-life backstage fight the two had around the time (won by Jericho, by the way).
