10 Most Disappointing WWE Matches Ever
8. Triple H Vs. Scott Steiner (Royal Rumble 2003)
Muscleman-cum-mathematician Scott Steiner was not a brilliant technical wrestler, granted, but he had his share of great matches during his acclaimed stint with WCW (including an unlikely classic alongside Goldberg at Fall Brawl 2000).
His first encounter with Triple H was keenly-anticipated then, with Attitude Era fans dying to see two of the break-out Monday Night Wars stars compete in something other than a pose-down competition.
But, for whatever reason, they just didn't click between the ropes. Steiner, back from a near-two-year wrestling lay-off, looked badly off the pace (and this was a man who didn't have much pace to begin with), and the sloppy DQ finish just left a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
And yet it was still probably one of the high-points in Triple H's torturous 2003 title reign.
