10 Most Disappointing WWE Matches Ever

7. Shawn Michaels Vs. Mr Perfect (SummerSlam 1993)

SummerSlam has seen its share of great Intercontinental Championship matches, the yardstick for which came at the previous year's event, when Bret Hart and the British Bulldog lifted the roof off Wembley Stadium.

On paper, this one - coming 12 months later from Auburn Hills, Michigan - had the potential to reach those same heights. In one corner, you had Shawn Michaels, fast becoming one of WWE's biggest stars, and in the other the always reliable Mr Perfect. It should have been dynamite.

But something went wrong. The bloated Michaels spent the lion's share of the match working his opponent's back, but - having been given just 11 minutes (as opposed to Yokozuna's 18) - there was scarcely enough time for a slow and methodical approach like that to gather any steam.

And just as it began to get going, Michaels scored an abrupt count-out victory after some outside antics from Diesel.
