10 Most Disastrous Wrestling Heel Turns

7. Eddie Guerrero

If you've read the condensed version of Eddie Guerrero's career, and are now under the impression that WWE writers meticulously plotted his rise to the top of the card at No Way Out 2004, then think again.

They were pretty confused about what to do with him as recently as July 2003, when he briefly turned heel after attacking former tag team partner Tajiri, who committed the unforgivable crime of lying down on Latino Heat's low-rider (after being thrown onto it by Team Angle).

Again, you can't really fault the performance here. Evidenced by his brilliantly dark heel work while feuding with Rey Mysterio a couple of years later, Eddie was always one of the better actors on Vince McMahon's payroll. He looked like he was genuinely disgusted with the Japanese Buzzsaw.

Plain and simply, the fans just didn't want to boo him. They refused to come on board with the idea of him transitioning into a bad guy, and within a matter of weeks he was back in the colours of good, serving a dodgy burrito to Big Show after setting his sights on the US Title.
