11 Most Disturbing Family Member Angles In WWE History

11. Paige Disrespects Charlotte's Dead Brother

The most recent entry on this list, and therefore the hardest to gauge. Once the dust settles on Paige's bluntly offensive Raw promo, it could well be worthy of a much higher place on this list. During a contract signing for her title defence at Survivor Series, Charlotte brought up Reid - her younger brother, who sadly passed away in March 2013. The Divas Champion claimed that her entire family has a lot of fight, at which point Paige replied that her baby brother didn't seem to. Cue an uncertain reaction from a shocked crowd, a furious Charlotte, and a predictable pull-apart brawl. By his own admission a day or two after the angle, Ric Flair found himself crying at the segment - and who could blame him? WWE didn't even contact the Hall of Famer to warn him about a mention of his deceased son. As horribly offensive as the whole thing is, it also reeks of panic booking. It's as if the writers suddenly realised their match was days away, and decided to throw in the most "real" thing they could think of in order to drum up some interest for the rapidly-approaching contest.
